The Ethel Smyth full score has arrived

In just over a month, on Saturday 18th March 2003, Northampton Bach Choir will be performing Mass in D by Dame Ethel Smyth. The rehearsals are going well and the choir is finding it both challenging and enjoyable. Tonight was special as Laura, our guest conductor, brought in her copy of the new orchestral score. We are only able to perform this work because Lee Dunleavy (our former MD) and the Northampton Bach Choir commisioned a special arrangement with reduced orchestration so choirs such as ours are able to finance such a concert.
