The Northampton Bach Choir are delighted to extend a welcome to
Adele Hudson and Rushden Town Band for their third concert together
following their critically-acclaimed performance of Berlioz’s Grande
Messe des Morts in June 2019, and their first Fanfares and
Carols performance at The Cripps Hall Theatre in December 2021 (the
pictures on this page are taken from that concert). This concert of Fanfare and Carols includes a wide selection popular classics in arrangements for choir and brass band, four a cappella carols from the choir plus audience carols and solos from the brass band. Take a look at the programme below and you’ll find plenty of familiar favourites, beautiful melodies, and toe tapping delights. Our concert is given at Cripps Hall Theatre, on the campus of Northampton School for Boys. With comfortable seating, plenty of space for mulled wine and soft drinks in the interval, and ample parking opposite, it is a perfect venue for our Christmas family festivities. We are delighted to welcome the first of our four guest conductors this season, Director of Music at Leicester Cathedral, Christopher Ouvry-Johns. AND we have a managed to persuade Santa Claus to welcome everyone as they come in. He will be outside with his sleigh, and he might come in and say hello to the children during the interval (if they are very good). Please note that this is a matinée performance, beginning at 2.30pm and ending at approximately 4.30pm. The concert is suitable for all the family.
