Over Christmas our Musical Director’s once again brought together
his four choirs in a joint Christmas project, which included a
choral evening where each choir shared one carol which was
historically special to them, a family carol singalong evening, with
jokes, Christmas stories, and much fancy dress, an interactive
Christmas quiz, and a special recording of a new Zoom Carol, the
words written for the occasion by the Chairman of the Wellingborough
Singers, Gesa Beales, which begins with this verse:
We’re annoyed, there’s
no joy, but a void,
Just where our Christmas
ought to be.
We’ve been wise, sanitised,
said goodbyes
To all our joys.
