Previous Concert

The Northampton Bach Choir are delighted to extend a welcome to Adele Hudson and Rushden Town Band for their second concert together, following their critically-acclaimed performance of Berlioz’s Grande Messe des Morts in June 2019.

The programme title, Be Merry! Carols for All, stems from the superb carol written by our former Musical Director (1971-74), Sir Stephen Cleobury CBE who passed away in November 2019. This carol will be included in the concert, alongside a carol arrangement dedicated by Sir Stephen to the Northampton Bach Choir. Four of the choir’s hallmark carols (from the pens of John Gardner, Christopher Tambling, and Malcolm Tyler) will be heard for the first time in arrangements for choir and brass band, alongside a number of your favourite Willcocks arrangements with the added pizazz of brass!

The programme will include works for brass band, for choir and brass band, and also for audience, choir and brass band together. Expect to be entertained!
